music video

Students,

Just a reminder that you should be researching videos for your blogs from a variety of genres. Some good directors are: Michel Gondry, Spike Jonze, Chris Cunningham and Garth Jennings - google their names or type them into you tube- it will introduce you to videos of genres that you perhaps wouldn't have accessed independently. This video is a simple concept - made with mini cameras attached to bicycle helmets. Simple idea, really effective video. The filmmaker was Adam Buxton - explore his you tube channel too if you have time.

NEW LINKS ADDED FOR STUDENTS

Y12 - AUDIENCES AND INSTITUTIONS BLOG: This is a blog set up with all the resources from your lessons and links to sites that will help you with extra revision

Y13 - BFI - Screenonline: A useful resource for researching the British Film Industry. Remember, the exam focuses on contemporary (modern) British cinema so don't spend too long learning the history

Y13 - Shane Meadows - links to his website. He is an independent film maker who makes low budget, low revenue films but they are excellent. The website has links to many interviews and clips of his films. Click on Extras and read the transcript from the Brief Encounter Film Festival. He says some interesting things about how having a bigger budget and well known actors compromised his creativity.
